Custom is exactly what it sounds like; you and I meet, I take photos of where you want a tattoo, I take a tracing of the area as well. You should have some reference ideas if you want something really specific. The more creative freedom you give me the more you will get a truly original work and have something that you can say is a “Matt Haffner” tattoo.

During our consultation we will talk at length about the plans for your tattoo. I may even do some sketches if that seems necessary to ensure we are both on the same page about the drawings I’m going to create for you. Custom work requires a $100 non-refundable deposit.

Afterward, I will send you a preliminary sketch. You will have the ability to ask for edits 2 times in this process. After that I will change my regular hourly rate for further changes.

You should familiarize yourself with my style by looking at my Instagram and my one shot section of this site. I do not do portraits, hyper realistic work, watercolor style, or painterly style. My style is primarily engraving inspired, line work dominant, and steeped in mysticism, witchcraft, botanical and animal illustrations, surreal, and old world in aesthetics.
